Cashmere is known as the “fiber of kings” and is unparalleled in luxury, warmth, and durability. William Lockie’s cashmere comes from mountain goats found in the frigid climates of China and Mongolia. These incredible animals grow a fluffy undercoat to protect themselves from winter temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. This undercoat is our cashmere, which is sheared under the strictest safeguards and spun at the Todd & Duncan yarn mill.

Here is a turtleneck sweater knitted from Scottish 6-ply cashmere. The 6-ply yarn creates a rich and voluminous texture.
