MJ'S DETAILS

The fabric for this wonderful jacket by Orazio Luciano was created in the English weaving mill of Marling & Evans. The fabric combines volume and weight and is a real eye-catcher, especially in the "Diamond Pattern" pattern shown here.

The "Diamond Pattern" pattern originated in the early 1960s and was reissued by Marling & Evans in a very limited edition. We were able to secure a few meters of this fabric.

A stylish appearance in a skillful gentleman's look.

Wear this subtle jacket with a shirt from Borriello or Finamore, a tie from E.Marinella or Petronius or a turtleneck sweater from Fedeli.

The house of Orazio Luciano is the very epitome of modern Neapolitan style. The manufactory is world-renowned for its incredible fit, characterized by a distinctive, generous lapel and the complete absence of shoulder padding. A defining feature is the spalla camicia—a shoulder set with a slight shirring just like a shirt, that creates an immensely soft, rounded silhouette. Combined with a high armhole, this soft construction guarantees unparalleled freedom of movement and a perfect drape. From the initial cut to the final pressing, the tailors in the small workshop invest well over 30 hours of pure handwork into a single jacket or suit. It is the perfect interplay of tradition and that subtle elegance that makes the south of Italy so extraordinary.
