MJ'S DETAILS
Our friendly relationship with the Wollisch family, who own the company, has enabled us to acquire a small edition of knitted ties from the Petronius archive stock.
These ties date back to 1968 and, in their narrow shape, are reminiscent of a time when intellectuals still liked to wear ties and expressed this particularly by wearing knitted ties. A reminder of times of upheaval and a dynamic and innovative style.
All knitted ties from the "Milano 1968 Maglia" line are only available in limited quantities - deadstock!
Small "irregularities" in the stitching on the inside are a typical sign of this wonderful handicraft.
This beautiful knitted tie is a must-have for your casual look!

ABOUT PETRONIUS
Since its founding in 1914 in Milan, the family-owned company Petronius has represented the absolute pinnacle of Italian tie and silk manufacturing. Named after the Roman author Petronius Arbiter, the historical arbiter of good taste, the traditional house is still run today with family passion in Milan. Every single piece—from the classic tie and refined scarves to artistic pocket squares—is created entirely by hand. What makes Petronius so unique is its uncompromising loyalty to its own style: far removed from fleeting fashion trends, the manufactory draws from a deep cultural heritage and an in-house archive of exclusive patterns on the finest silk, wool, and cashmere qualities. A tie by Petronius is not a loud accessory, but rather the most subtle form of Milanese elegance and the ideal addition to a sophisticated wardrobe.
