ABOUT YASER SHAW
In the secluded mountains of Kashmir, Yaser Shaw brings to life textile works of art of unparalleled depth. The journey of each unique piece begins at an altitude of 4,000 meters with the gathering of the finest pashmina cashmere. Over a period of up to nine months, the precious fiber passes through the hands of master artisans, upholding a profound Indian tradition: while the weaving on wooden handlooms is entrusted to women, the intricate embroidery is executed by the hands of men. As a symbol of their mastery, the craftsmen immortalize their personal signature at the edge of each scarf. Yaser Shaw thus preserves a centuries-old heritage, creating accessories that, through their rich texture and human history, truly transcend the everyday.
